Michelle Barrow has a background in environmental education and community organizing. She decided to accept the Volunteer Maryland Coordinator at The Barclay School in Baltimore, MD because she is committed to making a difference. “I believe that volunteers provide invaluable support to local organizations that lack the funding to hire permanent staff members and I want to encourage volunteerism within The Barclay School as well as Baltimore on the whole,” said Michelle. In her role this year, Michelle will develop sustainable measures within the current volunteer program to ensure the longevity of Story Pals, Class Room Parents, Reading and Greening, Green Team/Gardening Club, and Fresh Fruits Program. After her term of service, Michele plans on working toward becoming a social worker.
