Elena Felton – CASA of Baltimore County

Volunteering has always been an important piece of Elena Felton’s life.  “Growing up in an urban area I got to see different people with different struggles.  Once grown up and of a knowledgeable age of understanding what was going on in my community, I knew we needed change, so I became actively involved in my church and in school,” Elena said.  Her passion for service continued through college and to working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.  This year, Elena is the Volunteer Maryland Coordinator with Court Appointed Special Advocates of Baltimore County in Towson, MD.  Elena will recruit new volunteers to provide court-based advocacy for abused or neglected children in foster care.  Elena hopes to build a healthier community and gain experience advocating for abused and/or neglected children residing in foster care.
