Emma Moody is on the move, literally. After graduating from Miami University in Ohio, Emma hopped on a bike and rode 4,300 miles in the 4K for Cancer bike ride from Baltimore to Seattle. After completing that journey, Emma moved to Baltimore to take on the Volunteer Maryland Coordinator position with 4K for Cancer in Baltimore, MD. “As a rider on the 4K for Cancer bike ride, I was told by the executive director, David Conover, about Volunteer Maryland. I was intrigued by the Volunteer Maryland Coordinator position open at the 4K for Cancer, and thought it the perfect way to spend my year between undergrad and medical school” Emma said. Emma wants to grow as a young professional and serve those affected by cancer, helping to ease their struggle caused by the disease. She also would like to learn more about national service programs and how she can stay involved with volunteering; Emma knows that service will be a significant part of her future as a physician.
