Allyson Bloom graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in May of 2012 with a degree in Public Policy where she was award the Public Policy Award given to the top Public Policy student. With plans on attending law school next fall to pursue a degree in Criminal, Environmental, or Family Law, this year Allyson will be the Volunteer Maryland Coordinator with the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE). Allyson will recruit and manage volunteers in the Green School Leaders program, growing awareness of environmental needs in the school community and supporting schools that are interested in becoming certified Maryland Green Schools. Allyson hopes to learn the “behind the scenes” of a small nonprofit and acquire transferable skills that she can apply to her career as a lawyer.
