Carol Drum, The Light House Shelter

Carol Drum has an extensive management, marketing, and finance background, having worked for both private industry and state government.  She was a coach for Girls on the Run, and worked with Arundel Habitat for Humanity, but she is most proud of her family.  Her motivation for committing to a year of service comes from a desire to help those in need in her community.  Carol will serve with the Annapolis Light House Shelter recruiting, training and supporting volunteers.  Carol stated that she believes most people see the The Lighthouse as a shelter, but it is a homeless prevention center, “I believe a critical need in the Annapolis area is to provide affected people with basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter along with assistance to help them rebuild their lives,” Carol said.  Carol is an avid runner and enjoys outdoor activities.
