Kelli Magaw, Adkins Arboretum

Kelli Magaw is a Maryland native and grew up enjoying all the Chesapeake Bay had to offer.  So it was not a surprise that she focused her studies at East Carolina University on Biology with a concentration in Ecology and Environmental Biology.  “I love being outside, hiking, gardening, and studying nature,” Kelli said.  Her Volunteer Maryland Coordinator position with Adkins Arboretum is a good fit for Kelli’s desire to develop professional skills in communication, build leadership with an eye toward a career path, and promote environmental stewardship through recruiting volunteers for education programs and restoration projects.  Kelli said “I feel working with Adkins Arboretum will help me educate and bring public awareness to various environmental topics.”

Kelli is a Volunteer Maryland Coordinator sponsored by the Chesapeake Conservation Corps.
