Kendra Tappin has a long-standing passion for service. This will be Kendra’s second year as Volunteer Maryland Coordinator at the Jubilee Association of Maryland. Before Volunteer Maryland, Kendra served as an AmeriCorps member with Project CHANGE. Kendra has also been an active volunteer at Habitat for Humanity, Interfaith Clothes Closet, and A Wider Circle. Kendra’s commitment to volunteerism is no surprise. She’s from a family deeply rooted in public and community service. Her brother served in the United States Navy, and both of her parents were senior members in her home country’s National Service Program. Like the rest of her family, Kendra say she is “very much focused on drawing people to service, and strengthening communities.”
Kendra’s focus during her second year as Volunteer Maryland Coordinator will be recruitment, training and coordination of volunteers who will provide meaningful social interactions for people with developmental disabilities.
