Service has always been important to Roslyn Lindner. She was taught very early in life that serving her neighbors was not just about doing the right thing, but also about loving and treating everyone the same regardless of their race, religion or creed. One of Roslyn’s interests is learning about different cultures, and she spent two years in China where she experienced life as a foreigner. Those years abroad inspire Roslyn as she serves as the Volunteer Maryland Coordinator at FIRN. “My service at FIRN combines my passion for service and for learning about different cultures, which has driven me my whole life. I’m excited to be an agent of positive change in the lives of foreign-born individuals in my community.” Roslyn will spend the next 11 months helping foreign-born individuals by creating a sustainable volunteer program that will have a significant, positive impact on the foreign-born community of Howard and surrounding counties.
