Gabrielle Cantor, MAEOE

Gabrielle CantorGabrielle Cantor graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a degree in Biology and minors in Environmental Studies and Spanish. After graduation she dedicated a year to the AmeriCorps Water Quality Team in Knoxville, TN. She now brings her skills and experience to the Volunteer Maryland Coordinator position with the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE). Through this position, Gabrielle will recruit and manage volunteers in the Green School Leaders program, who will raise awareness of environmental needs in school communities and support schools that are interested in becoming certified Maryland Green Schools. Gabrielle says she chose the Volunteer Maryland program because of her positive experience with AmeriCorps and because of her commitment to preserving the environment. Gabrielle also hopes that this service year will help her, as she puts it, “Gain skills in volunteer management, recruitment, and sustainability.”
